    Position:          Junior Chartering Broker (m/f/d)

    TGP is recruiting a highly organised and proactive Junior Chartering Broker to support day-to-day chartering activities of TGP’s Headquarters in Sevenoaks. This includes but not limited to assisting with preparation of Freight Quotations, liaising with other TGP offices to collect information required for preparation of tenders, maintain and update databases with RFQ’s, editing Booking Notes and Charterparties under close supervision of the Chartering Manager, sourcing cargoes, advising internal teams, and ensuring operational excellence and risk mitigation in vessel chartering and other related shipbroking activities. The successful candidate will be highly IT-literate, with strong Microsoft 365 skills, and will report directly to the Chartering Manager.

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Assist the Chartering Manager with the daily execution of TGP’s UK chartering activities. 
    • Update and maintain RFQ databases. 
    • Create and review fixture recaps and Booking Notes under the supervision of a Chartering Manager. 
    • Liaise with Sales Managers of other TGP Offices to coordinate the preparation of quotations for tenders and spot cargoes. 
    • Prepare and send offers to clients under the supervision of Chartering Manager. 
    • Performing voyage route planning under supervision of the Chartering Manager. 
    • Handle post-fixture matters including demurrage/despatch, BAF, and dead freight claims. 
    • Maintain and update chartering procedures and ensure global compliance across TGP offices. 
    • Source market cargoes that align with TGP’s strategic interests. 
    • Occasionally travel internationally to support commercial teams. 
    • Liaise closely with other Chartering Team members and execute charter parties with clients and owners/operators. 
    • Follow all procedural requirements as outlined in TGP’s chartering protocols. 
    • Support chartering commercial activities globally, as required. 

    Your Profile 

    • 1-2 Years experience in a Junior Commercial/Admin Role with a Freight Forwarder, Ship’s Agency, Stevedore, Post Fixture or Operations, Shipowner, Charterer, Terminal Operator. 
    • Academic qualification in shipping desirable, but not essential.  
    • Basic understanding of vessel types, different types of cargo, and the shipping chain. From sourcing of the cargo all the way to delivery. 
    • Familiarity with BIMCO forms and chartering terms is advantageous. 
    • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and able to manage occasionally tight deadlines. 
    • Excellent communication skills. 
    • Willingness to travel globally and engage with clients and internal stakeholders. 
    • Excellent written and verbal English; capable of drafting clear, non-technical documents. 
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft 365 and document management systems. 
    • Organised, diligent, and proactive with a global mindset. 
    • Passionate about continuous improvement and procedural compliance. 

    Working Arrangements

    This role is based in Sevenoaks, UK. A minimum level of in-office attendance is required, and candidates should be prepared to work at other TGP office locations as part of a collaborative and deadline-driven team. While some hybrid working flexibility may be considered following successful onboarding, regular presence in the office is required and highly desirable.

    Position:          Technical & Commercial Proposals Tender Executive (m/f/d)

    We are seeking a motivated Technical Proposals Tender Executive with a focus on producing high-quality technical content and ensuring the successful development of technical proposals in response to global tenders. The successful candidate will work closely with commercial and operational stakeholders to craft winning technical solutions, supporting our growing pipeline of major project logistics opportunities. The successful candidate will be joining the Global Tender Team based in the UK, which supports our expanding global commercial infrastructure. This is an opportunity for someone looking to enhance their career working side-by-side with some of the most established project logisticians in the industry. Reporting to the Global Tender Manager on all aspects related to the receipt, production and response to major quotation requests, Invitations to Tender (ITT’s) and technical proposal requirements. Duties will involve the coordination, development and review of technical content, collaboration with subject matter experts, and responsibility for the writing and production of technical sections of responses to ITTs and RFQs. Working as part of a dedicated team based in Kent, UK offices and within a wider global commercial resource base.

    Skills & Requirements

    • Previous direct experience in drafting and completing technical proposals and documents for the project logistics or engineering sectors is essential.
    • Strong ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, client-focused proposal content.
    • Experience in structuring technical proposal sections in alignment with overall bid strategy, win themes and compliance requirements.
    • Ability to coordinate inputs from technical SMEs (subject matter experts), engineering, HSE, QA/QC and operations teams, ensuring technical consistency and quality across proposal submissions.
    • Experience in contributing to technical risk identification and mitigation strategies within the proposal stage is desirable.
    • Commercial awareness and understanding of how technical content supports the overall commercial proposition and competitiveness of bids.
    • Willingness to support basic commercial tasks (such as cover for commercial colleagues during holiday periods, or contributing to pricing reviews and narrative where required) is expected and will be valued.
    • Ability to take ownership of the collation of pricing and management of quotations with vendors and clients (external and internal), where required.
    • Ability to liaise effectively with vendors and clients (external and internal) to collate and distribute relevant information (e.g. procedures or operational information).
    • Ability to support internal stakeholders in the creation of relevant technical documents and marketing materials (e.g. presentations, route surveys, method statements, project execution plans, risk assessments).
    • Proven ability to respond to Invitations to Tender (ITTs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) for project work across multiple countries.
    • Experience within the freight forwarding or wider supply chain sector, and sound knowledge of how the sector operates, is essential.
    • A strong understanding of the multimodal logistics market, including suppliers and vendors, is essential.
    • Excellent coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Excellent written English and grammar is an essential requirement.
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 family of software products, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, is essential.
    • Familiarity with Office 365 collaboration tools, such as Teams, Planner and SharePoint, is desirable.
    • A willingness and ability to embrace and utilise IT solutions in all aspects of your working day.
    • A self-motivated and organised individual, with excellent time-management skills.
    • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work flexibly across both technical and commercial aspects of tender preparation as required within a dynamic global team

    General Responsibilities

    • Support compliance and risk review processes for technical proposals.
    • Work with Business Development to contribute to overall win themes and value propositions.
    • Support the continuous improvement of technical proposal processes and templates.
    • Participate in internal and external RFQ/tender meetings to understand client technical requirements.
    • Support Operations teams during project handover to ensure seamless transition from bid to execution.
    • Capture lessons learned and contribute to knowledge management for future technical proposals.
